Lasagna Soup

1 pound italian sausage (casings removed)

1 onion diced

5 cloves garlic minced

1 bell pepper diced

Mushrooms sliced

1/2 teaspoon each salt, pepper, garlic powder, pepper flakes, Basil, Oregano, Rosemary, Marjoram, Thyme & Sage

24 oz marinara sauce

8 cups broth

10 lasagna noodles uncooked and broken into rough 3" pieces

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

1/2 cup grated Parmesan

1/4 cup basil chopped

Heat a large pot or deep pan to medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, onion, garlic, and spices. Sauté for 4-5 minutes or until beef is browned and cooked through.

Add bell pepper, mushrooms and sauté until tender.

Add the marinara sauce, chicken broth, broken lasagna noodles, and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.

Stir in cheese, heavy cream, and Basil.
